The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested two burglars for burgling 16 houses and shops just as the stolen items has been recovered from them.

Revealing this on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Abutu Sunday has stated that the operatives of the Command, on the 1st of October, 2022, did arrested one Segun Olamide popularly known as CONFIDENCE for allegedly burgling into 16 houses and shops belonging to 16 different complainants within Ado-Ekiti and carting away numerous valuables.
During their interrogation, the PPRO said “the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime and mentioned one Olatunji Michael who resides in Akure, Ondo State, but was later arrested along with three others who are currently at large as his accomplices.
The two suspects arrested led the Police operatives to where they hid some of the stolen items and the following items were recovered from them. These includes 15 varieties of electronic appliances, 220 pairs of male and female shoes, 275 male and female clothes, assorted wines, provisions and foodstuffs, large quantity of women accessories and lingerie, different house properties, 1bag containing three hammers and 1 wooden saw and a chisel.
The Ekiti State Police Commissioner has however assured that efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects and recover more items and as well ensure the two suspects arrested are arraigned accordingly.
