Ekiti Police Emerges Overall Winner At Paramilitary Games, Wins 28 Medals

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police CP Ogundare Dare on 27/07/2023, has congratulated the Ekiti State Police Command team for emerging the overall best with 28 medals in the just concluded Ekiti State Paramilitary Game for the year 2023.

The Ekiti State Police Command, through its Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu revealed that, out of the 26 games made available for the tournament, won 16 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 3 bronze medals to be crowned the best team of this year’s tournament.

One PC Ojo Kehinde, during the tournament, broke the National record of 20.2 after throwing 22.6 in female Shot Put game while corporal Oloruntoba Babalola threw 73.5 in men Discuss Game to break the National Record of 67.80.

It was revealed that Ekiti State Police team won at least a medal in all the games available during the tournament except in Judo, Drought and Football.

The Commissioner of Police, while commending the leadership and the entire contingent for this incredible achievement, tasked them to ensure greater successes and achievements in the subsequent tournaments.
