Ekiti Police Launch Investigation into Gruesome Death of Couple

The Ekiti State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome death of the couple who killed themselves on the 18th of February, 2025 at the Odo Ado area of Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State. 

The couple named Leramo Caleb (husband) and his wife, Taiwo Leramo, were found brutally dead in the pool of their blood, with Caleb’s private part severed and Taiwo suffering from severe head injuries and were confirmed dead by the medical doctor after being rushed to the hospital.

In the Press Statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Ekiti State Police Command, SP Sunday Abutu, said the Command  have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, with the Commissioner of Police ordering the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, to ascertain the cause of death. A cutlass with blood stains was recovered from the scene.

The police are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the gruesome murder.
