The Governorship Candidate of the People’s Redemption Party, PRP, for the June 20 governorship election in Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Olaniyi Praise has sent his strong warning to the agents removing and destroying campaign posters of other candidates and political parties across the State to stop henceforth.

Ayodele Praise in a statement personally signed by him and made available to Treasure Newspaper on Tuesday afternoon describe the act of electoral vandalism going on in the State as unacceptable.
While educating the Ekiti populace over the matter, Ayodele Praise said, “the action of the agents removing and defacing campaign posters of other candidates runs contrary to the principles of democracy, fairness, and peaceful political engagement”.
Adding, he explained that Political competition must be conducted with civility and respect for the rights of all candidates and parties to freely present their messages to the people.
He used the opportunity to call on all those responsible for the act to immediately desist.

He also called on the security agencies and relevant authorities in the State to ensure that the democratic space remains open, safe, and fair for all participants in the electoral process.
He reminded the agents and their sponsors to know that Ekiti State is known for political awareness and commitment to democratic values.
He however pleaded with the people not to allow acts of intolerance and intimidation undermine the integrity of the electoral process ahead of the June 20 governorship poll in the State.

In his specific message to his supporters, political actors, and other stakeholders; Ayodele Praise, the Ekiti State PRP Governorship Candidate urged them to conduct selves peacefully and responsibly, and focus on presenting their ideas, engaging the Ekiti electorates and building a better future for Ekiti State.
