It is deeply unfortunate and shameful that members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly , individuals elected to represent the people , have become the greatest disappointment in our democratic history. Rather than championing the needs of their constituencies, they have chosen to endorse a failed administration led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji (BAO), turning a blind eye to the suffering of the people they swore to serve.

Let it be clear: endorsement is not governance. Praising failure is not patriotism. The BAO administration has failed to deliver the basic dividends of democracy ,no good roads, no potable water, erratic electricity, abandoned night projects, and skyrocketing taxes that are choking mothers, fathers, and young entrepreneurs. Businesses are closing down, and our people are living in worsening hardship.
What is most disgraceful is the desperate orchestration of endorsements , bribing market women, civil servants, and artists to support a second term ambition that is undeserved. These staged endorsements do not reflect the will of the people. They are not a measure of performance, but a display of desperation.
Ekiti Kete, this is a call to awaken your voice and your conscience. The state is bleeding, yet those in power are dancing in celebration of their own failures. It is time to rise and say “Otoge” .. enough is enough!
We must reject the politics of deceit, silence, and betrayal. We deserve leaders who are accessible, accountable, and results-driven , not those who see public office as a ticket to enrich themselves while the people suffer.
To all sons and daughters of Ekiti, both at home and abroad, the time to act is now. Speak up. Stand up. Vote wisely. Demand better. Reject failure.
Ekiti deserves good governance, not endorsement theatre.
