Ekiti Women CommissionerAssumes Office, Pledges To Surmount Challenges With Team Work

The newly inaugurated Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ekiti State, Mrs Peju Babafemi has asssumed office at the State Secretariat in Ado Ekiti with a pledge that she will surmount any challenge that comes her way with teamwork.

The Commissioner gave the assurance today while responding to questions from pressmen, who were in her office to cover her first day activities.

According to her, she said she has held a meeting with her staff in the Ministry to understand how they want her to help the growth of each department under her guide.

She added, that, “when she was speaking with them on her resumption on Monday morning, she expressed her joy reuniting with them. I know a quite number of them because I once worked as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry as well as the Head of Service in the State. They have the capacity to deliver appropriately. I am also ready to work with them with a large heart”, she promised.

She expressed her gratitude to God and to the governor of the state, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for having confidence in her and promised to try her possible best rendering service with most sincerity and honesty.

Adding, Mrs Babafemi stated that she will deploy her vast experience as a retired Civil Servant in relating with her staff and ensuring their optimal performance in her position as a Commissioner in the State.

She however assured that she has resumed into office with the right mindset to service the vulnerable, the adults, the youths as well as the people with disabilities. “I see it as a call to service and I am ready to give my best to it and we hope to reach out and seek help”, she ended.
