The Ekiti State Government has said that it would soon begin construction works on Igirigiri road in Ado Ekiti as part of steps aimed at providing motorable roads for commuters and residents of the area which is an agricultural corridor.

This was made known by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Chief Mrs Tosin Aluko who was at Igirigiri on an inspection tour of the flooded route.

Aluko who had earlier received a flood alert from residents of the community as a result of heavy downpours on Monday and Tuesday pleaded with the residents to be calm as the government is already working to ensure the road is constructed as soon as possible.
