Yes, from the look of things, no doubt, the fall of Nyesom Wike is imminent.

The recent media outbursts and dispositions of Nyesom Wike on Rivers politics; PDP’s crises, his face off with the incumbent Rivers Governor, Siminilayi Fubara; the National National Secretary, Ajibola Bashiru cum APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda all boil down to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 second term presidential ambition and the future of politics in Rivers State, home State of the FCT Minister.

In addition to the above are the many crises already created by Nyesom Wike as the FCT Minister in Abuja going by the several protests and complaints against him in respect of land grabbing and corruption going on under his watch.

Despite all, this Nyesom Wike doesn’t seems to be bothered or perturbed. He doesn’t seems to listen to any voice of reasoning cautioning him, in all of the things he is presently enmeshed in.

He has continue to raise his shoulder, and not ready to heed any warning sign from the public space or take to any advise from the public opinion space.

If Nyesom Wike continues to listen to himself only, and ignoring wise counsels from the public and those who genuinely loves and care about him, his fall from grace seems real in no distant time.

Already, many are of the thought that Nyesom Wike has been used and dumped by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a political leader in Nigeria many described as a political master strategist and the main brain behind the All Progressives Congress in the Country.

It is believed that the silence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the Nyesom Wike’s daily media engagements and the recent defection of Governor Siminilayi Fubara of Rivers State to the All Progressives Congress is a signal that Nyesom Wike usefulness has been exhausted and no longer needed by the current government.

It is also believed, that, Nyesom Wike has already been used to destroy the major Nigeria political opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party, so that the party won’t have any united voice ahead of the race to the 2027 presidential election.

Truly, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been demolished with no structures remaining and successfully, Wike has murdered the peace in the PDP and replaced it with trouble and disunity and all manner of court cases.

At the moment, Wike doesn’t seems to have any known political party. This must have prompted him to come up with a political organization known as Rainbow Movement in Rivers State.

In his own mind, he came up with the idea of the Rainbow Movement to create a fresh problem and challenges for the incumbent Rivers Governor, Siminilayi Fubara and used it to stabilize himself politically and staged a come back to the Rivers State after Fubara outsmarted him by moving to the All Progressives Congress.

The defection of Governor Fubara to the APC no doubt has unsettled Wike, hence his reasons he is presently moving round the local government areas in Rivers State to continue to make himself relevant in the scheme of the things politically.

But probably unknown to him, the recent call by the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru to Wike to resign as FCT Minister and face Rivers politics should be enough for him to know that he has overstayed his essence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Definitely, Senator Ajibola Bashiru would not have made such a statement without President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s consent and approval.

By now, Nyesom Wike should know that politicking in the PDP is totally different from politicking within the APC. The political tactics and the game are different and not the same.

The best advise for Nyesom Wike at this time is for him to play it low politically.

He should do less of media hype or media engagements. He should also speaks less and borrow a leaf from the silence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He should cease from going raw with Governor Fubara or with the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Bashiru or with the APC National Chairman.

He should also cease his war with he current leadership of the PDP and he should realize that it is only God Almighty who enthroned people in power. He should stop leaning on his own knowledge or wisdom but rather, rests all his hopes on God.

He should not fight the political party that gave him power as Rivers Governor for good eight years, as Federal Minister under the PDP and now again, as Federal Minister under the APC.

He should be thankful to God for how far He has helped him. He should know that he cannot reign forever. He should keep things calm with himself and in the Country..

First sign that an end to Nyesom Wike’s era is close by is the Impeachment moves initiated by the Rivers State House of Assembly today, Thursday, January 8th, 2026 against the incumbent Governor Siminilayi Fubara and the stand of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State condemning it.

The second sign is the protest organised earlier on Thursday morning, by some leaders of the All Progressives Congress under the Tinubu / Shettima Support Groups at a location very close to the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, and calling for the sack of Nyesom Wike as the FCT Minister.

The reason stated by the protesters is their deep concern for the stability of the APC government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the security of the Nigeria as a Country and the sanctity of democratic principles.
