‎Quoting from the Nigerian Constitution, Comrade Dan Sabi said, “the law provides that no Nigerian can be held
in custody without trial beyond 24 hours, hence the reason he is challenging the Inspector General of Police to ensure that Sowore is not kept in custody beyond the constitutional provision.

Sowore’s detention has been widely condemned especially because he had always been fighting for the welfare and rights of the Nigeria police and the public at large”, Dan Sabi submitted.
