The former aide of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Honourable Wale Alade Oba has in his capacity as a supporter of Engineer Kayode Olubunmi Ojo refuted claims of any association of his current principal with Mr Rotimi Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State and the African Democratic Congress ahead of the APC primary election in Ekiti State.
According to Honourable Wale Alade Oba’s rebuttal, he said, “he is compelled to address a malicious and baseless rumor circulating in Ekiti State.
Continuing, he called on the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the teeming people of Ekiti State not to fall for such narrative suggesting that Engineer Kayode Olubunmi Ojo met with former Governor Rotimi Amaechi to discuss his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the State.
In his own words, Wale Alade Oba strongly charged the followers and supporters of Engineer Kayode Olubunmi Ojo to regard social media negative speculations as utterly untrue.

The picture being bandied about online is an old photograph, taken years ago when Engr. Kayode Ojo indeed had a different appearance, including a less gray beard.
Meanwhile, “the former Governor Rotimi Amaechi in the photo now wears permanent glasses, which seems to have been overlooked in the fabrication of this lie.
“We have identified the source of this falsehood to be Matthew Oba, Special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Media, who appears to be acting in line with the Governor’s perceived interests.

“It is appalling that such tactics would be employed to undermine Engr. Kayode Ojo’s reputation and influence.
“This act of desperation is a clear indication of the insecurity felt by those in power regarding Engr. Ojo’s growing popularity and credibility among the people of Ekiti State.
“I urge the public to disregard this falsehood and be wary of the misinformation being spread by those who are clearly threatened by Engr. Kayode Ojo’s stature and potential impact on the political landscape of Ekiti State”.
