Former President Jonathan Receives Prestigious Award At Arise News Women Making Impart Event

Former President Goodluck Jonathan have  been honored with a prestigious award at the 2025 Arise News Women Making Impart event, held at Eko Hotels in Lagos. The award recognizes his efforts in promoting peace, democracy, and women’s empowerment in Nigeria and across Africa.

In his remarks, the Jonathan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, dedicating the award to all the women who have worked tirelessly to build a better future for Nigeria. 

He emphasized the crucial role women play in shaping the destiny of any country, highlighting their contributions to education, healthcare, and economic development.

“I am truly humbled to receive this award, and I dedicate it to all the women who have worked tirelessly to build a better future for our nation,” President Jonathan said.

He also stressed the importance of gender equality and women’s participation in politics, urging the creation of opportunities for women to take on leadership roles and participate in decision-making processes.

“We must continue to create opportunities for women to take on leadership roles and participate in decision-making processes,” he urged. 

“By doing so, we can unlock the full potential of our women and build a more just and equitable society.”
