FRSC Speaks On Collapsed Bridge Between Ado, Ilawe Ekiti, Advises Motorists On Alternative Route To Take

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ekiti State Command has spoken on the collapsed bridge between Ado, Ilawe Ekiti roads just as Motorists plying the road has been advised on the need to take alternative route. 

In a press release signed and sent to the Treasure Newspaper, RC TD Ojo, SPEO speaking on behalf of the Sector Commander in Ekiti State on Wednesday, urged “the road users and the general public to take note that a bridge at the entrance to Ilawe Ekiti from Ado has collapsed and the development made it outrightly impossible for vehicles to pass through Ado – Igbaraodo route.

He urged the road users plying the route that henceforth, the FRSC Officials will be on ground to effect traffic diversion from the area. 

The FRSC statement added that, the traffic diversion will continue until the needful is done as appropriate authorities have been contacted for immediate action.

The Federal Agency however advised motorists and the general public used to plying the route to use the alternative routes from Ado Ekiti to Iyin Ekiti to Igede Ekiti to Ilawe Ekiti to Igbaraodo Ekiti and to Akure in Ondo State.

Also, the FRSC in it’s second plan, advised motorists that they can take Ado Ekiti to Iju-Itaogbolu to Akure in Ondo State.
