Senator Opeyemi Michael Bamidele’s empowerment initiative has brought significant benefits to over 5,000 residents of Ekiti Central Senatorial District.

The programme, which was initially scheduled for December 2024, saw 2,900 beneficiaries receive a grant of ₦100,000 each, and paid directly into their accounts.
In addition to the grants, various items were distributed, including 180 motorcycles, 333 sewing machines, 165 Keke Napep, tractors for big-time farmers, 7 ambulances donated to various hospitals, and 20 mini buses given to entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji commended Senator Bamidele for his efforts, stating that the empowerment programme was a testament to the Senator ‘s commitment to his people.
The governor urged the beneficiaries to use the items and grants wisely, as a means of wealth creation for themselves and families.
This initiative is not Senator Bamidele’s first effort to support his constituents.
Previously, he sponsored a free medical outreach that benefited 6,600 residents of Ekiti Central Senatorial District. The outreach provided treatment for various ailments, including hypertension, visual impairments, diabetes, and hepatitis.

With the 2025 empowerment programme already in the works, the people of Ekiti Central Senatorial District can look forward to even more opportunities for growth and development.
