A boy earlier declared missing by the Police has finally been found in Anambra State.

The Police Public Relations Officer from the Anambra State Command, SP Ikenga Tochukwu in a press release signed by him on Monday made the news public.
SP Ikenga in his press release called on the public, most especially the good people of Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State of the safe custody of one Anayo Stephen aged 13 years, from Ubaha-Akparu Community.
SP Ikenga revealed that the young boy who was allegedly abducted in Imo State was found at Ideani Junction in Anambra State on Monday.
Investigations gathered from the boy by the Police, revealed that, “on the 9th of August 2025, at about 3.00 p.m., while he was on his way to fetch grass for goats, four young men in a Hilux vehicle stopped him.

Explaining his ordeal further, the young boy said, they initially asked him for directions to a certain place in his area. However, unknown to him, they had succeeded in abducting him and taking him to an undisclosed location.
The boy added that, while his captors were asleep with him in the bush, he managed to escape. While walking away from the scene, he met the vigilante operatives at Ideani Junction and narrated his ordeal. The victim speaks both Igbo and English fluently”.
The Anambra State Police authorities however seeks the assistance of the media to share his picture for possible identification by his families, to enable him be re-united back to his family.
