Iyaloja-General In Ondo Urges APC To Go For Consensus Candidate For Primary Election

Governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the forthcoming gubernatorial primary election in Ondo state have been advised to toe the path of getting a consensus candidate rather than the emergence of many aspirants.

The Iyaloja-General of Idanre and Ondo State, Princess Adenike Aroloye Ariwajoye, gave the advice while speaking with Treasure Newspapers Correspondent in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Saturday.

She said a situation where many aspirants are out for the governorship ticket at the primaries is economically unwise as it tantanmounts to a waste of financial resources. Hence, advocating the adoption of consensus in picking the flag-bearer.

Princess Ariwajoye who is also the National Vice President for Iyaloja-General of Nigeria said the Iyalojas and Iyalajes are ready to vote for the person that emerges as the APC candidate for the election after the primaries, adding that the candidate must be favourably disposed to the wellbeing of the people.

She advised Nigerians to exercise patience with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government because according to her, there is light at the end of the tunnel. “The present hard times will be over one day”, She maintained.
