A shocking incident has unfolded in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Sunday afternoon, where a 76-year-old Son of the Late General Adekunle Fajuyi, Donald Fajuyi, rendered his wife, Mrs Lanre Fajuyi and children homeless after leading some uniformed men to demolish their current abode with a bulldozer.
According to Mrs. Fajuyi, the demolition was a surprise attack, as she has been left with nowhere to go.
She appealed to the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, to intervene and save her from her husband’s actions.
Mrs. Fajuyi stated that her husband’s actions are driven by greed, expressing her concern about the well-being of her children.

According to the interview with the Wife, Mrs Lanre Fajuyi, she stated that the family home, located in the Fajuyi area, was built with the help of her sister, Yinka Agbebi who donated building materials to them many years ago.
She narrated that the house has been a source of contention between her and the husband, explaining that her husband had made several attempts in the past to sell the building without her consent.
The demolition has therefore left the entire family in a state of distress, despite the children previously taking up the responsibility of rebuilding the house and renovating it several times before it was demolished by the said husband.
The incident has also raised concerns about the rights of women and children in Nigeria, particularly in cases of domestic disputes.
The victim’s daughter has called for justice, stating that the family wants justice for everyone involved. The incident is currently under investigation, and it remains to be seen what actions will be taken against Donald Fajuyi.
However, when Treasure Newspaper contacted the wife, Mrs Lanre Fajuyi via phone call on Monday morning, she said herself and children will be going to the court this morning on the matter.
