The Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointments of new Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Board Chairmen across various portfolios, Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

The appointments were announced in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, dated 29th of November, 2023.

In the lists of the new appointments, the present Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Seyi Makinde; Mr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, is now to combine the role of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media with his current portfolio.

The names and portfolios of the fresh appointments includes Oloye Suraj Abiodun as Special Adviser on Education Intervention; Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran as the Chairman for State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB; Dr Gbola Adetunji as the Chairman for Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS, OYSACA and Alhaji Murtala Ahmad as Special Assistant on Community Relations 1.

Also, we have Nwosu Innocent as the Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations 2 representing the Arewa Community in Oyo State; Saka Moshood Olawale as the Senior Special Assistant  for OYSIEC representing the Igbo Community; Honourable Yemi Taiwo as the Chairman for the Oyo State Library Board; Honourable Rauf Adekunle as the Chairman for the Oyo State Pension Board; Honourable Dare Adeleke as the Special Adviser on Federal Constituency Matters and Mr Rahman Abiodun Abdulrahim as the Chairman on Education Trust Fund.

Others includes Honourable Abiodun Awoleye Dada as the Chairman for the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board; Rt. Hon. Atilola M.O. as the Chairman for the Oyo State Scholarship Board; the Honourable Akinsete Olakunle as the Special Adviser for Housing and Urban Development; Honourable Simeon Oyeleke as the Special Adviser on Budget and Economic Planning; 

Mrs Aderonke Adedayo as the Special Adviser, General Intervention & Donor Agencies. 

We also have others like Honourable Samuel Ademola Adejumobi as the Special Adviser on Legislative Matters, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha as the Special Adviser on Political Matters;

Honourable Abideen Tokunbo Adeaga as the Director General for the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency; 

Honourable Mufutau Ogunremi as the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals.

He added that, Honourable Ramota Agberemi Dabo is now the yg Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
