MoU: Durojaye Commends Ooni, Chinese Firm

The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor, Hon. Durojaye Isaac Kolawole has commended the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for signing Memorandum of Understanding with the largest Chinese firm, China Oversea Energy Technology Development Ltd in his Palace on Monday.

Durojaye made the commendation while speaking with our correspondent in Ile-Ife during the grand finale of Olojo festival.

According to him, this giant step being taken by Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi for the industrialization of the ancient city. This development would further make Ile-Ife economic hub of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.

He described the step taken by Ooni as an enormous one which would bring monumental developments to Ile Ife and the state, saying when the Chinese firm commences work, the ancient town would be in economic world map of industrialized cities.

He added that the signing of the MoU would focus on the development of Agriculture, mechanized farming, production of cocoa in large scale, solar energy, exploration of lithium, gold, liquified natural gas and other mineral resources in Osun State.

Durojaye noted that the MoU would help Ile-Ife and Osun State to enjoy an unprecedented investment flow, stressing that China Overseas Energy Development Technology Limited as noted by Ooni is one of the biggest companies in the entire China, Asia and the world.

The Special Adviser appreciated Governor Ademola Adeleke for welcoming the foreign investors into the state and lauded Ooni for his initiative to conceive the idea and bring it to reality.

He thanked the Management of the Chinese Company for yielding and agreeing to invest in Ile-Ife and Osun State, assuring the investors support of Ile-Ife people.
