Honourable Adesola Gold Adebayo assured that his swearing in as Youth Commissioner in Ekiti State by the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, will continue to propel him to strive hard and justify the confidence reposed in him, and deliver in his current position.

The Osun – Ekiti born politician, who was one of the Commissioners inaugurated, on Tuesday, said Oyebanji’s appointment was borne out of the rich track record of public service he parades, promising to bring this vast experience to governance to uplift the state and broaden its economic opportunities for the citizens.

Adedayo spoke in Ado Ekiti, after being sworn in by Governor Oyebanji among the 21 commissioners and 14 special advisers that were inaugurated for the coveted public service  positions.

Pledging unalloyed loyalty to the governor, Adedayo maintained that the whole Ekiti had realized the burning and glowing zeal in Governor Oyebanji to expand the Ekiti’s economic opportunities and progress, saying he would contribute his own quota by being selfless, focused and diligent at his duties.

Adedayo said it would be a great disservice to the people of the state for the appointees to disappoint the people in view of the current economic hardship and the enormous task required to put a soothing balm on their pains, describing their appointments as one that needed to be justified with scintillating performances.

He said he would work in tandem with the bureaucrats in his ministry to bring to actuality the policies Governor Oyebanji envisioned for the state, as aptly encapsulated in the cardinal objectives he campaigned with while seeking the mandate of Ekiti people as a governor.

Adedayo appealed to the people of the state to continually cooperate and pray for the success of the current administration, while calling on politicians to strike a strong cord of relationships with the grassroots for robust spirit of inclusivity to be injected into the system.

“Let me appreciate our dear leader, Governor Oyebanji for the honour he has done me and my family. This is a veritable opportunity to etch my name in gold as someone who got an appointment and distinguished himself in the position he was saddled with.

“I promise that I shall refrain from any corrupt practice and act of illegally amassing  wealth in the name of holding political position. This position is held in trust for the people and I won’t disappoint.

“I shall focus on the six- point agenda of this administration that I am well abreast of its terms and stipulations. I knew what the governor wished to bring on board and I shall work hard for the realization of making Ekiti a land of shared prosperity and destination of choice for investors.

“The task is not going to be easy due to paucity of funds and other unforeseen circumstances. But through prudent management of our scarce resources, Ekiti can become a model because we  have the economic blueprint and superfluous human resources to drive the vision.

“I promise to be a goal getter and good team mate to my colleagues, who have also been enlisted to drive the vision of the present government. I knew that working at cross purposes would only derail our lofty dream, so I shall  remain focused and diligent at work”.
