The State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ekiti State Council, Pharmacist Kolapo Olatunde Joshua has on Tuesday led the entire leaders of the Workers Unions to seek God’s Face for the new year 2026.

Speaking at the new year prayer programme for 2026, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Ekiti State, Pharmacist Kolapo Olatunde Joshua, said Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji since he came into office has always acceded to the requests of workers in the State.
He hailed and thanked the governor for his support for the labour movement in Ekiti State.
He said before, government usually finds it difficult to celebrate workers during May Day, but since Oyebanji came on board, the story has changed for better.
He prayed that God will continue to be with the Governor and his family.

He advised workers to take good care of health and do regular check ups by visiting hospitals or health facilities nearest to them.
“When you are moving on Nigerian roads, it’s good not to exceed 100 km per hour.
He said he can recommend the current Governor of Ekiti State, Gov. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at any point in time when it comes to leadership.
Delivering the sermon for the new year prayer programme, Pastor Dr Femi Olanipekun, admonished the workers union leaders, reading from the book of 1 Peter 2: 8-12, and spoke on the topic: Uncommon.

He said an Uncommon means, a state of where God packaged His people to be positioned for blessings.
Prophesying, Pastor Olanipekun prayed that Workers in Ekiti State shall be massively blessed in the year 2026 in Jesus mighty name.
He reminded the people that God has made them the light, and the salt of the world.
He charged them to also put on a new man in Christ Jesus afresh in the new year 2026.

He advised the workers and labour leaders in Ekiti State to make themselves one with no division, emphasizing true love and unity in their ranks and file.
He also stressed that the time of harvest is on the way for the union leaders and workers in Ekiti State in 2026.
Present at the new year prayer programme were the Chairmen and Secretaries of the affiliate unions under the Nigeria Labour Congress in Ekiti State as well as past and present union leaders in the State.
