Ondo Governor Lifts Owo Curfew As Normalcy Returns

The Ondo State Governor, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has lifted the curfew imposed on the Owo community in the State as nolmacy returns to the ancient town.

The Governor in a statement made public through his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan on Friday, said the decision was occasioned by the significant improvement in the community’s security situation and the peaceful conduct of its residents.

He added that the curfew which was initially imposed to address violent cult clashes and security disturbances which  had resulted in loss of lives. 

However, with the concerted efforts of security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other stakeholders, peace and order have been restored to the community.

Governor Aiyedatiwa express his gratitude to all those who contributed to the return of normalcy in Owo. With the curfew lifted, residents can now resume their daily activities and movements without any restrictions.

This development is a testament to the effectiveness of collaborative efforts in maintaining peace and security. As Owo community returns to normal, residents are expected to continue cooperating with security agencies to ensure the community remains safe and secure.
