Ondo NURTW Thugs Disrupts APC Stakeholders’ Meeting, Beats Up Chairman, Others

Thugs belonging to the National Union of Roads Transport Workers in Ondo State have been reportedly alleged of disrupting a Stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, beating up the State Chairman, Mr Ade Adetimehin and others at the State Secretariat of the party located very close to the popular motor park at the Cathedral in Akure, the Ondo State Capital on Tuesday.

Adetimehin, the State Chairman of the APC in Ondo State, while reacting to the development, accused the State Governor, Honorable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of sending thugs who are members of the NURTW in the State to the State Secretariat of the party who beats him up and forcefully went away with his phones. 

The Ondo State APC Chairman however revealed that he has already officially reported the development to the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, for his own safety in the State. 

It has also been observed that the pictures of Mr Ade Adetimehin where he was seen on the ground holding his cheek suggesting that he was beating are already in wide circulation on the social media.

Meanwhile efforts to reach out to the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan proved abortive even up to the time of filing this report.
