The Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has, on behalf of himself and the entire people of the kingdom, congratulated the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his victory at the just concluded Presidential Election held on the 25th of February, 2023.

Oba Ogunoye, in a massage signed and released by his Special Assistant on Media, Sam Adewale, said, his victory at the polls to become the President of the Country, is in fulfilment of destiny, which calls for celebrations.

The Monarch who pointed out that, Asiwaju fought a good fight, “if the competitiveness of the election was anything to go by, disclosed that, Asiwaju’s strength, tenacity, courage and sincere yearnings for a true democracy in the land, really worked in his favour”. 

Oba Ogunoye, added that, Asiwaju’s pragmatic achievements, track records as a former Governor of Lagos State, his belief and commitment for a better Nigeria, will propel good governance and development in the land.

The Monarch used the opportunity to congratulates the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON, for his visible role in the emergence of the President – Elect.

Kabiyesi disclosed that, the reason for the overwhelming support which the people of Ondo State and in particular Owo kingdom, gave to Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, was not unconnected with the way Mr. Governor gives account of himself and doggedly as an advocate of good governance in relation to efficient service delivery to the good people of the State.
