Oyebanji Running Govt of Real Transformation – Cleric

A Cleric of the Anglican Diocese of Ekiti, Venerable Alfred Olusola Oluwole, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for running a government that is desirous and fully committed to uplift the state’s human and material  resources as well as its transformation in all facets.

The Clergyman, who is the Archdeacon/Vicar- in- charge, Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Irona, Ado Ekiti, said Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated competence, capacity, zeal and deep knowledge of governance in the last six months, suggesting that he was poised to transform Ekiti and make it a beacon of peace and development.

The man of God, said this in Ado Ekiti, on Friday, during a church burial procession, held in honour of the late Madam Elizabeth Bosede Ilugbusi.

The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, attended the church service.

Addressing the congregation, the Cleric, praised Governor Oyebanji for placing priority on the welfare of workers and paid the arrears of subventions of some tertiary institutions in the state.

Reverend Oluwole described the gesture as a morale-booster and strong motivation that would help in radicalizing and uplifting the state’s human capital resources. 

The Cleric said; “Governor Oyebanji is really transforming Ekiti. In fact, he is running a government of Omoluabi. His  government is one that is really thinking about the welfare of the people.

“One thing is for someone to be elected and another thing is for him to get there and start misbehaving. But Mr Governor is truly doing the biddings of his people.

“The one that makes me really happy was the payment of arrears of subventions of our tertiary institutions. The lord will bless his government. I am really happy about this. I saw that spirit of commitment and humility in him.

“But for him to be successful, he shouldn’t take any advice that will make him derail or offend God. He has started well and he will end well by the grace of God”.

In his sermon woven around ‘Life of Vanity’, the reverend warned that  anyone, who came to this world without serving God passionately has lived a vacuous life. 

Reverend Oluwole charged the Nigerian leaders to be sacrificial and selfless in their services to the citizens, to build a nation we can all be proud of, and for them to earn human and divine rewards after the expiration of their tenures.
