Pa Fasoranti Clears Air On Social Media Misrepresentations About Afenifere …… Says Pa Ayo Adebanjo Remains Afenifere Acting Leader …… Said Claims On Social Media That He Said Afenifere Meetings Will Now Hold In Akure Is False And Untrue 

Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the foremost retired Afenifere leader has cleared the air on the misrepresentations about Afenifere, a Pan Yoruba group which has taken over the social media space for about a week ago confusing members of the public in respect of the face off between Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Pa Reuben Fasoranti arising from the visit of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Akure Country home of Fasoranti where he went to seek his endorsement.

Clearing the air, the Personal Assistant to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in person of Adedapo Abiola in a press release he signed on behalf of the retired Afenifere leader, stated that, “it has come to Pa R.F. Fasonranti’s knowledge that some sections of the media, especially the social media, have been ascribing to him false statements designed to cause confusion and polarize Afenifere”.

Adedapo Abiola however revealed that “he has Pa Reuben Fasoranti’s permission to say that he has not said that Chief Ayo Adebanjo is no longer the Acting Leader of Afenifere or that all future Afenifere meetings should henceforth be held at his residence in Akure”. 

Continuing, Adedapo Abiola explained that, “Pa Fasoranti’s main concern is the interest of the Yoruba in the complex political situation in Nigeria. He added that it is also his concern that Afenifere should survive in dignity and remain a purveyor of the interest of the Yoruba race”.
