………… Says PDP Will Win The Presidential Election
The Deputy Director, Field Operations of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, Mr Kayode Adaramodu, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Security Agencies and Voters for ensuring improvement in the election process of Nigeria compared to years back, saying he had seen Democracy and political process revolving.
Mr Adaramodu gave the commendation at his Ilawe Ekiti Country Home on Sunday.
“Our people are more educated. The process is becoming more and more faultless and friendly. Did you see what has happened in my own polling unit as an example. People voted here , very early unlike those days when you will have to start moving from house to house, telling people to go and cast their votes.
But today, people came here voluntarily and I can tell you, almost all the voters in this unit have completed voting immediately. A few people you seeing there, were only complying with the regulations by delaying the counting to the cut off time. Incase one or two people wants to show up, I will commend the process.
Continued, INEC has really up its game. They promised a good election for Nigerians. Judging by what I have seen in my own Constituency, INEC has done well. We should commend them.
On the security agencies, he said, let me start by commending the people first. You know, I told you ,that the issue of voters education is very important.
Once people are educated , they know what they are to do. That will placed little or no pressure on the security authorities. So, that has been the only thing, apart from the police vehicle that just passed. I have not seen any incidence that could have call for any form of security attention”
He described feedback from other states as nothing to fear about apart from one Constituency in the Ekiti Central where he heard there was a case of people exchanging money for vote, Saying he had told the people there to capture the necessary evidences they might have.
Mr Adaramodu said he was optimistic that the PDP will win the election? He said,” I want say this, before we went into this election, we have done a very thorough job as a party.
Infact, we went scientifically, about it and I can tell you, my party has placed an expectation on what they think they will get in this polling unit.
All the 176,929 thousand, we had our projected votes and we tried as much as possible to be conservative about our expectations. The figure they gave me in my polling unit, you will see by the time the results comes out.
We are most likely double it. If I am going by what we have done before today, and what we are seeing, I will allow INEC to make the necessary pronouncement of my party as the winner of the election.
