The Publisher of Penpushing Media, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, has stated reasons he established his media platform.
He said the decision was driven by his desire to create an independent space for credible journalism and informed public discourse.
Kayode-Adedeji said the idea came after decades of experience in the Nigerian media industry, where he worked with several notable news organizations.
According to him, the platform was designed to bring together journalists and professionals from different fields to contribute to national discussions and provide the public with reliable information.
The veteran journalist noted that his career has spanned more than three decades, during which he served in various capacities across different media organizations.

He disclosed that his professional journey included working with major newspapers such as Daily Sketch, Daily Times, Monitor, Third Eye, Republic, National Mirror, Searchlight, Post Express, Next and Premium Times
He explained that these experiences exposed him to the strengths and weaknesses of the media landscape in Nigeria, prompting him to create a platform that prioritizes professionalism, balanced reporting, and public enlightenment.
Kayode-Adedeji added that the initiative was also meant to encourage collaboration between journalists and experts from other professions, allowing the platform to offer diverse perspectives on national and social issues.
According to him, the goal of the platform is not only to report news but also to contribute meaningfully to conversations that shape society and governance.
He emphasized that independent journalism remains essential to democracy, stressing that media platforms must continue to provide credible information that enables citizens to make informed decisions.
Kayode-Adedeji however submitted that through Penpushing Media, he hoped to strengthen responsible journalism and support constructive dialogue within the Nigerian society.
