The Nigeria Police Force has strongly vowed to restore order and end the current crisis disturbing the peace of the local government areas across the State.
The National Headquarters of the Police also condemned in totality the violence which erupted at many of the various local government Secretariat of Osun State on Monday.
In specific words, the Nigeria Police Force expressed the rude shock at the manner the peace and safety of the people of Osun State were disrupted, thereby assuring the residents of Osun State to bring the perpetrators of the heinous acts leading to destructions of properties and the loss of the lives of the innocents citizens to justice.
Also, reacting to the crisis, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate deployment of additional tactical squads to Osun State to bolster security and restore law and order.

The Police have recognized that violence undermines the democratic process and threatens the wellbeing of citizens. They have affirmed their commitment to identifying and prosecuting the perpetrators, who will face the full weight of the law.
According to the press release by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Police Force Public Relations Officer, said the IGP has issued a stern warning to those who threatened the peace and stability in Osun State, stating that the Force will not tolerate any act of lawlessness, hooliganism, and anarchy in the State.
Citizens have been advised to remain calm as normalcy is being restored. Osun indigenes, leaders, and stakeholders have been urged to shun violence and go about their legitimate businesses.
