Primate Ayodele Berates FG For Shielding Sheikh Gumi Despite Open Support For Terrorists

The leader and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has berated the Federal Government and the Tinubu’s Presidency for continuously shielding the former military officer and Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi despite his continuous and open support for bandits and terrorists in Nigeria. 

Primate Elijah Ayodele raised the concerns about Sheikh Ahmad Gumi in a viral video on Sunday while delivering God’s message to his congregation and the people of Nigeria at large, in respect to the current security challenges facing the Country. 

The prominent Nigerian Christian leader, Primate Ayodele called on the need for the Federal Government and the current Presidency of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to act urgently, most especially how Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has been inadvertently elevating the profile of terrorists, making them appear more important and influential than they actually are.

According to Ayodele, the Nigerian government must be held accountable if Gumi is allowed to operate without restraint. 

He emphasized that protecting Gumi at this critical time could encourage insurgents and other criminal elements, undermining the efforts of the military and security agencies to stabilize affected regions. 

Ayodele stressed that any negligence by authorities could have far-reaching consequences for national security.

He further explained that Gumi’s interactions with bandits and insurgents have, intentionally or not, provided them with undue leverage, emboldening them to continue attacks across the country. 

Ayodele called on the government to take decisive action and ensure that no individual, regardless of influence or status, compromises the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.

The cleric urged both political and security leaders to act in accordance with the law and prioritize the nation’s security over personal interests.

He warned that failing to address the situation promptly could lead to public outrage and further destabilization in affected areas.

Ayodele concluded by reiterating that the responsibility lies with the Nigerian government to prevent Gumi from making terrorists appear more powerful than they are. 

He stressed that decisive action now could save lives, restore order, and ensure that law and justice prevail over criminal influence.
