Publisher Of Kayegbo Tongue Lashes Those Distracting Governor Oyebanji With Second Term Bid

The Publisher of Kayegbo Event Magazine based in Ekiti State, Chief Ogunniyi Morakinyo, has tongue lashed those distracting the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji over incessant calls on him to consider contesting for another term in office, describing such people as deceivers and distractors.

In a statement made public by Chief Ogunniyi, he called on the admirers of Governor Biodun Oyebanji not to distract his attention with a second term bid, pointing out that such an action is for now unconstitutional. 

While speaking his mind, he said; “Governor Oyebanji is working, no doubt about that and they should allow him to work harder, to use the huge allocation coming to Ekiti during his tenure to change the life of Ekiti people. It is clear to all and sundry that it is difficult to change the Governor that is doing the needful.

“Governor Oyebanji too, should understand Ekiti politics, that most of those campaigning for his second term bid are deceiving him just to make something from it.

“They deceive his predecessors at the last minute since they know the political calculation did not favour them. Some of those campaigning for him are just paper weight that have no political value in their constituencies, some of them don’t even have voter’s card, some will sell their cards to political aspirant who care for them during hardship while some will use their cards for the highest bidder.

Some of our people are petitioners waiting for where to expose him.

What should be the priority of Governor Oyebanji now is to instruct local government Chairmen to use their allocation judiciously, complete Airport project, invest heavily on agriculture, do the roads linking towns and rural roads. 

He however used the opportunity to commend Governor Oyebanji for his tourism agenda because that is the only tangible project that can sell Ekiti to the world and provide employment for the people at the grassroot.
