The National Youth Council of Nigeria is an organisation responsible for policy formulation and implementation on issues bordering Youth Development across the Federation. The leadership of NYCN wishes to notify and express our complete displeasure on one Famuyibo Nathaniel Oluwasegun (Captain) a defacto NANS leader parading himself as the factional Chairman of Ekiti State Youth Council which is a clear violation of the doctrine of the Council.
Our leadership wants to categorically affirm that the Congress held on Tuesday 13th September 2022 at Pavillion, Fajuyi Park, declared and issued a certificate of return to Comrade James Oluwasegun BANKOLE with (109 votes) as against Com. Famuyibo Oluwasegun Nathaniel with (14 votes) as the State Chairman of the Council alongside other executives saddled with the responsibilities of steering the Council affairs for the next 4 years.
The election was held under a wide coverage of security networks of the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ministry of Youth and Sport, Media Outlets, Congressmen, Stakeholders and Delegates with visual and audio-visual evidence.

The Youth Council leadership in Ekiti State have decided to make a soft formal presentation to warn and caution against Famuyibo gibberish attempt to frustrate and truncate the seemingly fragile peace in the State.
After when Segun Famuyibo was defeated at the state elective congress on Tuesday 13th September, 2022 he went ahead and declare himself as another NYCN Chairman
Surprisingly, one would wonder that Famuyibo Oluwasegun (Captain) again has been the major protagonist of factionalism in the history of Ekiti State.

This same Famuyibo factionalized the Federation of Ado Students Union (FASU), 2009. Federation of Ekiti State Student’s Union (FESSU), 2010. National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), 2014. Ekiti Youth Parliament and Southern Nigeria Youth among others but gleefully resisted to FAIL IN ALL.
The said Famuyibo should be aware that we are youth, we have all the required strength to negotiate his frustrated tendencies to result in street advocacy but we have decided to be law abiding citizen.
The leadership of the NYCN here in Ekiti will continue their consultations and consolidation in ensuring public safety.

Conclusively, NYCN applauded our collective support towards ensuring peaceful harmonious relations in Ekiti. Our leadership would wish to associate with the working Ekiti in the shortest period.
