Release People’s FM GM, Yemi Agbeleoba Or Face Journalist’s Wrath: NUJ Tells FUOYE VC

The Nigeria Union Of Journalists, Ekiti State Council has called on the Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina to effect the immediate release of the General Manager of the People’s 104.1 FM Ado Ekiti, Dr Yemi Agbeleoba.

The State Chairman of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists, NUJ, in Ekiti State, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi stated the above while addressing journalists at the NUJ Press Centre in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Wednesday. 

Comrade Babatuyi issued the warning on the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina to as a matter of urgency facilitates the release of the Union member without further delay. 

Speaking further,  Ekiti NUJ Chair stated clearly that any failure to accede to the Union’s request will lead to a total media blackout of the University’s activities. 

Babatuyi berated the Vice Chancellor’s audacity to use the DSS to harass a journalist in the State.

Also, the NUJ leader in Ekiti State equally advised the DSS to follow up on the sexual harassment case involving Professor Fasina and stop chasing shadows.
