Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Exposes Errors In Recall Petition, Alleges Assassination Plot

In a recent interview on Channels TV, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has exposed the errors in the recall petition filed against her to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, revealing how people’s signatures were forged, using a letterhead paper bearing an unregistered Association known as Kogi Central Political Frontier and alleging plans to assassinate her.

She questioned the legitimacy of the petition, highlighting discrepancies in the address and sponsorship. 

Akpoti-Uduaghan also expressed concerns about loopholes in the recall processes, emphasizing the need for INEC to strengthen the law.

Regarding the petition, Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that she’s not worried, trusting her people and their connection with her. She emphasized her popularity, citing her election, which was supported by various parties beyond her own.

Akpabio’s alleged assassination plot against her was also discussed. Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed that the Senate President withdrew her security, making her vulnerable to attacks. 

She wrote a letter to the Inspector General of Police and contacted security agencies, prioritizing her safety.

When asked about her plans for 2027, Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed confidence, stating that her decision to run again would depend on her family, children, and community. She’s already preparing for the possibility, with her media team designing posters.

Akpabio has reportedly threatened to sue Akpoti-Uduaghan over her allegations. In response, she dared him to proceed, standing by her claims.
