Sowore Queries Kwara Police, Says Tani Olohun Was Arrested With Fake Warrant

The popular Nigerian Human Rights Activist, Omoyele Sowore has queried the Kwara State Police Command for arresting the Isese Activist, Adegbola Abdulazeez popularly known as Tani Olohun with a fake warrant of arrest which was illegally obtained from the court.

Sowore made this known in a post shared on his Facebook page on Sunday.

In the said post, Sowore called on the Kwara State Police Command to free Adegbola Abdulazeez from custody. 

He stated thus: “#FreeTaniOlorun: The charade by special interests in Ilorin to secretly jail Tani Olohun exposed, first they got a fake arrest warrant from Area Court to get him arrested, now asking state govt to let them prosecute him without involving the DPP’s office,” his post read.

Findings revealed that Adegbola Abdulazeez, popularly known as Tani Olohun was arrested and remanded in a correctional centre until October 5, for insulting the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, some Islamic clerics in the state, among other offences.
