The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has commended members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the State for contributing to the State’s social-economic growth through the Scheme’s Development Service Projects.

The Governor said this today in his speech during the swearing-in of the Batch B Stream ll Corps Members at the State’s NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ise-Orun/EmureEkiti.

He said, “Your contributions to the fight against socio-economic development through various Development Service projects and sensitisation programmes have left indelible marks in the annals of our history which will never be forgotten no matter what,” he asserts.

The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Adedayo Gold Adeshola, applauded the efforts of the State Coordinator, Alhaji Rico Shuaibu and his team for his good doings since his assumption of duty as the head of the Scheme in the State, adding that he will provide the necessary support that will enable the Scheme to soar higher.

In the welcome address earlier made by the NYSC Ekiti State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, he applauded Governor Oyebanji for his efforts and actions towards the success of the Scheme in the State.

Also, the State Coordinator sought for more Governmental support, saying, “I appeal to the State Governor to further see to the upgrading of the Orientation Camp, especially in the construction of a befitting Hall for Lectures and other social activities.”
