Three Suspected Armed Robbers Nabbed In Ekiti

Three suspected armed robbers, namely Akingbade Sunday, aged 25 years old from Isan Ekiti; Ajanaku Lekan of 19 years old Ilawe Ekiti and Ajanomen Seun, a 19 years old Warri born Delta State have been nabbed in Ekiti State by the Amotekun Operatives of Ekiti South West Local Government Command of the State.

Upon interrogation by the arresting Officers, the trio were allegedly involved in theft, robbery and cultism. 

Adding that, one of the arrested suspects burgled the apartment of one of the Amotekun Operatives of the outpost in llawe-Ekiti and stole the foodstuff (rice), kept in the kitchen, quite apart from other items he had stolen from people after masking up to cover his face.

In the meantime, the three of them confessed to the scene of the alleged crimes, noting that they have been working hand in glove in a dastardly plan to be robbing people and carting away their property through the counterfeit local pistol and one small local knife which they normally use to intimidate people while on robbery operation.

More so, the Officers ransacked their residence at Oke-Emo street in llawe-Ekiti and recovered one black clay pot, totally laced with charms under the bed during investigation.

They have since been handed over to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Ekiti State Police Command, old lyin Road, Ado-Ekiti for further investigation and necessary line of action.
