Three Suspects Nabbed In Ekiti By Amotekun For Rape, Stealing

Three suspects, two among which have been nabbed in Ekiti State for stealing and one for rape by Officers and men of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps. 

The Head of Communications of the Amotekun Corps for the Ekiti State Command, Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale made the arrest public in Sunday through a press release signed and sent to the Treasure Newspaper. 

According to the press release, Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale said, a 30-year-old Mr. Usman Sheidu, who hailed from Sokoto State, but inhabiting in lkole-Ekiti, and Mr. Aluko Olalekan who is a gatekeeper, 32 years old, a resident and indigene of the same town were on  Saturday 28th December, 2024 arrested on one hand, and on the other hand; one Anifowose Sunkanmi Oluwabunmi popularly known as Jarule S.K., a 34 years old resident and native of Ilugbeku in Efon local government area. 

The Amotekun Corps in Ekiti State in its press release revealed that two out of the three suspects stole an iron door at Oke-ljebu Agege in lkole Local Government Area.

During their interrogation by the Amotekun Officers in the town, the two suspects confessed committing the crime. 

Upon their confessions, the two suspects involved in the stealing have been handed over to the Divisional Police in lkole-Ekiti for proper investigations. 

In the same vein, another suspect who was arrested for raping a 13 years old girl (names withheld), and resides at Isaja Street in Efon local government area, has been apprehended and exposed.

The rapists in question was caught red-handed in the midst of cultists after he ran away to Ijebu Ilesa to evade arrests after raping the victim sent on an errand to buy fufu from a nearby street in Efon local government area. 

The rapists has however been handed over to the Police in Efon local government area for proper prosecution.
