Tight Security Beefed Up In Edo Ahead Of Poll

Treasure Newspaper man in the State also noticed the presence of heavily armed security personnels which enveloped Benin City, the Edo State capital, thereby sending strong signals to troublemakers to stare clear of the State ahead of Saturday’s Governorship throughout the State.

The show of force carried out by all the security agencies led to traffic gridlock in the State capital, where security personnels of the Nigeria Police Force, it’s Mobile Unit popularly known as MOPOL, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Rapid Respond Squad (RRS), the Nigeria Army and other security agents were spotted at various places. 

Similarly, at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Benin City on Thursday, some of the Personnel’s were on ground to maintain peace and order, while some were also stationed at strategic places close to the INEC Quarters. 

Additionally, Nigeria Army, were also parading the nudes and crannies in the State. 

Furthermore, some security agents deployed to the state were seen with their bags awaiting to be deployed to other parts of the State ahead of governorship election.
