An unknown gunmen have murdered the first son (Demola Akinloye) of a Lagos State Monarch, in person of Oba Tijani Akinloye, the Ojomu of Ajiran Land on Monday in the Ajiran Community of Argungi Area of Lekki.

According to reports by major media outfits in the Country, the unfortunate incident which was said to have occurred on Monday along Chevron drive, led to unrest within the community.

Confirming the murder, “the Management of the Community’s Estate in a notice alerted the residents, that Ajiran (Agungi) King’s Son was killed by unknown assailants around the Chevron Drive (close to Ebano Supermarket) on Monday morning.

“They however immediately pleaded with the Community Residents to avoid Chevron Area of Agungi and Ajiran for now, for their safety”. the notice stated.

Meanwhile, the Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said investigation had commenced into the matter.

According to his statement, he said, Prince Demola Akinloye was attacked while driving his black Toyota Corolla car along Chevron Drive. He was attacked near Budilon Court Estate Gate by four armed men driving in a white mini bus.

“He was shot and stabbed to death by the attacker. The scene had been visited and one expanded cartridge was recovered while the corps had been moved to a mogue for preservation and autopsy.

The case will later be transferred to SCID Panti,Yaba for further investigation.
