Victory Life Ministries Ends 2025 Convention With A Call To Youths To Shun Drug Abuse

Victory Life Ministries World Convention held between 10th of September, 2025 to 14th September, 2025; which features several anointed word Ministers and music gospel artists has ended; with a call from Dr Ife Bamidele to youths and Nigerians at large to shun drug abuse and addiction courtesy of a Non Governmental Organization, NGO, named Drug – Free Health initiative aimed at getting youths involved in drug addiction properly rehabilitated and re-orientated. 

In a Media chat with Dr Ife Bamidele after the convention, in respect to the Non Governmental Organization, named – The Drug Free Project which was officially and formally presented during the concluded Victory Life Ministries World Convention 2025, revealed that the plan was to continue a nationwide campaign to educate, prevent, and rehabilitate individuals affected by drug abuse, and also fight the substance abuse among young people in Nigeria.

According to Dr Ife Bamidele, the initiator of the project, he explained that, “the initiative is a clarion call to address the existing drug crisis in the country, which is claiming the lives of many young people”.

“We are saying that people should not be dying; people should not be losing their health,” Bamidele emphasized.

Speaking further, Bamidele said The Drug Free Project is aimed to reach 20 million Nigerians through its campaign, targeting 100 educational institutions and workplaces, while also collecting 1 million signatures for its flagship drug-free pledge. 

The project has already made significant impact in drug abuse, its prevention across Nigeria, and carried out advocacy activities in several states like Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and the FCT.

Bamidele added that, through partnerships with government ministries, security agencies, traditional rulers, religious organizations, and civil society groups, the project has built a strong nationwide presence. 

He also revealed that the project has also engaged diverse stakeholders, including senior government officials, NDLEA, and other security agencies.

He urged young people to say NO TO DRUGS and instead focus on positive peer influence, skill development, education, and profitable activities. 

“We need to rise up to the challenge, support agencies, organizations, and institutions like the NDLEA, and make an attempt to ensure that we rid the country of drugs and support persons who use drugs and want to stop,” he said.

The Drug Free Project has established itself as a force in Nigeria’s fight against substance abuse, with a strong online presence and a call for donors, sponsors, partners, and volunteers to support its goals. With 700 active volunteers already on board, the project seeks to recruit at least 300 more to achieve its objectives.

Meanwhile, during the Victory Life Ministries World Convention 2025, with theme ‘I AM A WONDER’, which is the 33rd edition of it, the General Overseer of the Ministry, Bishop Mike Bamidele charged his congregation to see themselves as Wonders in all the spheres of life such as health, finances, education, career, business, their spiritual life, family and marriages among many others.

Several anointed guests ministers invited had the ample opportunity to speak out the mind of God to the congregations that were both present physically at the capacity auditorium located at the Garden of Love in Ilesa, Osun State and those who joined virtually through the various social media handles of the Church.
