Latest lists of Ekiti State political parties Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Monday has shown that Dr Wole Oluyede’s name is missing as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the June 20, 2026 governorship election in the State.

According to the lists unveiled by INEC, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji appeared as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State while the name of his Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye also appeared as the Deputy Governorship candidate with their ages.
Akande Oluwasegun’s name appeared as the Governorship candidate while Oluwasanmi Fajuyigbe’s was also published as the Deputy Governorship candidate for the African Action Congress, AAC; Ayodeji Ojo and Itunu Ibitoye appears as both the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the Action Democratic Party and Ambassador Dare Bejide and Paul Olowoyeye as both the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Also, we have Opeyemi Falegan and Omoyemi Olaleye appearing for the Accord Party as Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates; Bidemi Awogbemi and Akinyemi Adewumi were published as Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the Action People’s Party as well as Joseph Anifowose and Margaret Ilesanmi’s names appeared as Allied People’s Movement Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates.
Others include Oyebanji Olajuyin and Ayokunle Okumade appears as Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the Labour Party; Blessing Abegunde and Francis Ajayi appears as the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the New Nigeria People Party, NNPP; Olaniyi Ayodele and Modupe Adebiyi came out as the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the People’s Redemption Party, PRP; Owoola Daramola and Opeyemi Adeyemo for the Young Progressive Party, YPP and Victor Adetunji and Adesina Oyeniyi as the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP.
