An Iyin Ekiti born woman, Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi has formally joined the Ekiti State Governorship Race under the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the primary election scheduled for October 27th, 2025 in the State.

Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi, a prominent critic of the current administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji earlier on Wednesday visited the APC National Secretariat in Abuja with few of her friends to officially obtain her Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms which will qualify her to be eligible to contest for the Ekiti Governorship ticket of the APC come October 27th, 2025.

In a video she personally shared on Facebook wall, she was seen been handed over her own Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms by an official of the APC at the National Secretariat in Abuja.

Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi in her own words while obtaining her forms, said, “I have gotten my own Expression of Interest and Nomination forms today. 

Speaking further, she berated those saying nobody will contest against the incumbent Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the State. 

Declaring, she said, ‘I am contesting”.

Confirming, she also said, I am no longer a Facebook Aspirant. I am now a real Aspirant. 

She urged the Ekiti people to henceforth disregard those saying she will not buy form. “I have bought the forms”.

Also, in her reaction to those saying, she cannot come and campaign in Ekiti State; replying, she told them to expect her next week for kick start campaigns. 

Adding, Abimbola asked if anyone in the State are more royally born than her.

“We are not dumb and naive like you, one step at a time, when we get to every bridge, we will cross it gallantly!”, she assured.
