Yeye Olabisi Salis, Founder Of GLOW Empowers Orin, Ido, Itaji Ekiti Women, Others

Yeye Olabisi Salis, the founder of the Global Liberation Organization of Women, known as GLOW, has empowered the Women of Ido, Itaji, Orin, Osi and Isan Ekiti in Ekiti State.

Empowering the women yesterday at Orin Ekiti, in an open event, Treasure Newspaper reports that the event which attracted many women across communities was formally launched. 

Treasure Newspaper findings revealed that, the Global Liberation Organization of Women, a non governmental organization, dolled out Cash and Agricultural materials to the women as well as some men from Ido, Osi, Orin, Itaji and Isan in the State.

Payment of Monthly Cash benefits were also approved and commenced for over thirty elderly people at the event.

About fifty farmers were given farm implement and Agrochemicals, while over one hundred women benefitted from the largesse.

Guests at the occasion who were particularly women were given health and infertility education, to boost their health.

The event which was a part of the Sixtieth birthday of the brain behind the GLOW empowerment, Yeye Olabisi Owolabi Salis, Nee Faturoti, which was celebrated in far away America, was also marked in Lagos and Orin in Ekiti State.

The Chairman of the event, Bishop Mimo Faturoti, in his speech gave kudos to Yeye Olabisi Salis for not forgetting her source saying the exercise started over fifteen years ago in Lagos and thanked GLOW for assisting Ekiti people.

The Father of the day, Pa Pius Omonijo also appreciated the GLOW and Yeye Salis for deeming it fit to empower the downthrodden.

The event was attended by the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, who called on Ekiti people all over the world to emulate the Woman of substance, Yeye Olabisi Salis, to assist their people back home.

At the ceremony was the aged Mother of  the celebrator, Mama Faturoti and some of her old time friends and classmates from the Methodist Girls School, Ifaki Ekiti, where some traditional outfits entertained the audience.
