YIAGA Africa Appeals To Ondo Residents As They Awaits Announcement Of Final Results

The YIAGA Africa has appealed to the Ondo State residents as they awaits the announcements of the final results of the Saturday election held across the 18 local government areas of the State. 

The foremost Election Observer Group in the Country made the appeal through a statement made available to journalists in the early hours of Sunday, and signed by the Chair of the 2024 Ondo State Election Mission, Mr Ezenwa Nwagwu.

Ezenwa in the statement assured that the post election report from the YIAGA Africa will be made public as soon as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announces the final results of the election. 

He however urged INEC to ensure transparency and adhere to results collation guidelines before announcing the final results. 

YIAGA Africa also urged the security agencies to be professional in their conducts and be neutral as they secure the State INEC Collation Centre. 

YIAGA Africa equally called on all the leaders of the political parties, political gladiators, stakeholders and citizens in general to remain calm and maintain peace as INEC collates and concludes the election processes.
