APC, SDP, Labour Members Defect To YPP In Ekiti

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC; the Social Democratic Party, SDP; and that of the Labour Parties, LP, has reportedly defected to the Young Progressive Party, YPP, during the tour of the communities in Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State on Tuesday.

Receiving the new members who later converged at Ode Ekiti, the headquarters of Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, the State Chairman of the Party, Pastor Owoola Daramola along with others State Executives namely the Deputy Chairman, Ambassador Makinde; the Woman Leader, Mrs Victoria; the State Secretary who doubled as the State Publicity Secretary, Mr Adeyemi were all on ground to receive the new defectors into the Young Progressive Party.

Daramola described the open door in the logo of the YPP as a signal of an opening doors to the Ekiti people, while the leaves stands for life, freshness and growth.

 The town-centre gathering turned into a mini-rally as new entrants cited *free litigation support, a clean internal nomination process, and the party’s “quality-people” standard* as decisive pulls.

thereafter oversee the official registration of the new members and  issued them their membership cards immediately. 

Speaking at the defection venue on behalf of all the new defectors, a previous House of Assembly aspirant under the APC before joining the YPP,  Honourable Eyitope Fashina denounced the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, citing the issue of imposition through its wrong application of consensus as his reason for joining the YPP. 

Others places equally visited on Tuesday are Ise/Orun and Emure local government areas.
