The personal media aide of Dr Wole Oluyede, the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the June 20, 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, Mr Gani Salau has officially reacted to the recent remarks by Mr Bisi Kolawole, calling on the Ekiti public to ignore him, and tagging him as an hungry politician.
Salau, who is also a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti State, in his reaction, urged the people of Ekiti State particularly the PDP to ignore Bisi Kolawole over his recent reckless statement that the party has no candidate for the coming election.
He reminded that Bisi Kolawole who was the party gubernatorial candidate in the 2024 election made the statement through one Lanre Omolase and Femi Philip claiming to do so as party chairman and Publicity Secretary respectfully.
The former Local Government Secretary frowned at Kolawole”s statement describing it as a statement that must have come from a person just waking up and couldn’t get things rightly.
Salau described such reckless statement from Kolawole as unnecessary and unexpected from him who had served as a member of Ekiti State House of Assembly.
“Let me make it clear to Bisi K that Dr Wole Oluyede who is the candidate of the party can never be their “mugu” where he and Ayo Fayose will be draining him, and he will not be ready to put anything on their table which such has been their second nature”.
“Have they exhausted their APC “mugu” who is battling to get the ticket of his party for the forthcoming gubernatorial election? If they have exhausted him, then, Bisi K and Ayo Fayose should look elsewhere because they have missed their target”.
The Journalist turned politician called the attention of Bisi Kolawole to the recent Federal High Court, Abuja, judgement compelling INEC to accept and publish Dr Wole Oluyede’s name which was received with joy and celebrated by the people of Ekiti alluding to the fact that he is popular among the electorate.
“Help me tell Papa seventy, I mean Bisi K to remove his dark glasses so that he can see clearly what is on ground and join the people of Ekiti on their desire and resolve to vote for our party”s candidate overwhelmingly in the coming election”.
He asked the people of Ekiti State to be wary of such people like Bisi Kolawole who negotiated and abandoned his gubernatorial election in 2024 on the collaboration of Ayo Fayose with the present government just because of greediness and hunger.
“Look, Ekiti people see these characters, I mean Bisi Kolawole and Ayo Fayose as cash and carry people who are ready to negotiate anything for money. They have no value and they have lost their credibility and integrity just because of their stomach, please ignore them”.
The PDP Chieftain used the occasion to inform the people of Ekiti that the gubernatorial campaign would be flagged off soon, according to him “since the coast is now clear through the landmark judgement affirming the candidature of Dr Wole Oluyede, campaign will start in earnest and our candidate will be talking to the people of Ekiti on what he has in stock to transform the State”, he ended.
