Traditional Rulers, NLC, Clerics Applaud Omoyele’s Leadership as Book on Amotekun Boss Debuts

Traditional rulers, labour leaders, security stakeholders, and community members have gathered to celebrate the leadership and service of High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, during the public presentation of a book chronicling his life and contributions. 

In a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Sunday, the Public Relations Officer of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Yusuf Idowu Abass, said, the event drew guests from across Osun State and beyond, highlighted Omoyele’s role in community development and in strengthening the state’s security framework through Amotekun.

Aare Olagunju Joseph, Secretary of the Planning Committee, welcomed guests and described Omoyele as “a visionary leader divinely ordained for greatness” whose work merits honour and recognition. 

He said the unveiling of The Power Force of Destiny was more than a literary event but a celebration of purposefulness, resilience, and divine orchestration.

According to him, the book shows that destiny is cultivated through vision, faith, determination, and divine guidance. 

He urged attendees to read the book, share its message, and apply its lessons for personal and societal growth.

In his sermon, Ven. Evang. Dr. Isaac Komolafe praised Omoyele’s commitment to the people and called on others to emulate his character, citing Matthew 23:11: “The greatest among you shall be your servant.”  

Field Commander Dr. Capt. Olusoji Akanni described Omoyele as “a man of destiny” whose leadership has brought unprecedented progress to the Osun Amotekun Corps. 

Recalling their time as coursemates at the same university, Akanni said Omoyele’s uncommon wisdom and purpose have turned once-impossible goals into reality.  

Administrative Officer, Ojetunde Isaac commended the Corps Commander’s compassion and selflessness, noting that “in the rain and in the sun, he always stands for the people.” 

He said Omoyele consistently commits his time and resources to the growth of others and the Corps.  

The book review was led by Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, Osun State NLC Chairman. He said The Power Force of Destiny captures Omoyele’s journey, challenges, and resilience, and serves as both biography and motivational guide for young people. 

He recommended making the book available online to reach wider audiences.

His Imperial Majesty, Oba Isola Peter Ipadelola, the Olufon of Ifon-Osun, gave royal blessings and recalled meeting Omoyele during Osun’s traditional leadership struggles. Praising his dependability, the monarch remarked humorously, “This short man people talk about — they always say, ‘Go and meet Omoyele.’ Small body, big engine,” drawing applause. He congratulated the Corps and urged officers to learn from Omoyele’s experience.  

Responding, Dr. Omoyele expressed gratitude to his wife, Rev. Ap. Mother, Mrs. Omolola Omoyele, the monarch, government representatives, colleagues, and all guests. 

He revealed the event was a surprise organised in his honour. Urging youths not to abandon their dreams, he said, “Your present condition is not the final chapter of your life. Challenges are temporary, but purpose is permanent.” 

He described leadership as a divine call to sacrifice, service, and integrity, and reaffirmed Amotekun’s mission to protect lives, secure communities, and preserve peace.  

He further stressed the power of literature to inspire moral rebirth and visionary leadership, commending the author’s creativity and sacrifice. 

Omoyele called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, and government officials to invest in youth empowerment, education, and security.  

The event closed with a vote of thanks from Rev. Ap. Mother Mrs. Omolola Omoyele, who appreciated all dignitaries for honouring her husband at the launch of The Power Force of Destiny.
