A prominent Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ado Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Honourable Sunday Ola is now set to host the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe among others at the finals of the football Competition he organised to discover new young talents in the game in Ekiti State.
The APC Chieftain, Honourable Sunday Ola declared his resolve to support the efforts of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji in the area of developing the Youths in Sporting activities, most especially in the game of football at the grassroots while briefing newsmen on the finals of the Ado Local Government Football competition sponsored by his foundation, known as Sunday Ola Foundation.
He described the vision for his Foundation as one that focuses on women and youth empowerment, support for the vulnerable persons, education Support, poverty alleviation and society development among others.
According to him, he said, “he is an indigene of Ado-Ekiti from Ward 6 who contested as an aspirant for the last House of Representatives Primaries of APC where Honourable Olusola Fatoba came emerged.
Honourable Sunday Ola while addressing the press on Sunday revealed that, “the finals of the football competition which started on the 27th of November, 2022 at Baptist High School, Ado-Ekiti will be decided on the 18th of December, 2022 at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti”.
He noted that the Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Habibat Adunbiaro and many stakeholders have been communicated and formally invited to grace the occasion.
According to him, the competition was initiated with the aim of uniting youths, discover great talents among them who could be supported to greater level in sports.
He congratulated Governor Oyebanji on the success recorded so far since assumption of office especially the repair of all roads in the state capital and environs.
The APC Chieftain expressed hope that Oyebanji will take Ekiti to an enviable height with a promise to stand by him.
