An Ex-Deputy Governor of Ekiti State and indigene of Ado Ekiti, in Ekiti State , Professor Mrs Modupe Adelabu under the umbrella of Ado Progressive Union, APU, has collaborated to give back to the people to promote food health by organizing a free health mission in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday 23rd of December, 2023.

The free health mission covers the diagnoses and various treatment of diseases ranging from diabetes, high blood pressure, hypertension, eye problem and many others.
Prince Toyin Akingbade, the National General Secretary of Ado Progressive Union, while speaking with Treasure Newspaper, appreciated the former Deputy Governor for her kind gesture and support to all and sundry in Ado Ekiti.
He said the gesture was a sign that Professor Adelabu is a lover of Ado indigenes and dwellers of Ado Ekiti. Prince Toyin further stated that this kind of free health mission is very special and one that should be highly commended.
Also, Speaking, the Coordinator of the free health mission, Mr Adewole Temitope and the team Head of the Medical Team that attended to the people during the exercise, Dr Julius Olusola Amodu gave kudos to the organizers and described the idea as a laudable one.
Also, Speaking, the Coordinator of the DSI, a Medical Consultant, Mr Adewole Temitope Matthew noted that lots of money has been invested on the Free Health Mission just to make sure that a lot of people are taken care of considering how expensive it is to have access to quality health care in the Country today.
He said a over 500 glasses were available to be given out. Adewole added that the DSI had collaborated with government of Ekiti state in the past to bring free health to the good people of Ekiti state

He noted that lots of money has been invested on the Free Health Mission just to make sure that a lot of people are taken care of considering how expensive it is to have access to quality health care in the Country today.
A Commissioner in the Local Government Service Commission who doubled as the National Treasurer of Ado Progressive Union, APU, said the programme is a non political event that the indigenes of Ado Ekiti and others residing in the State Capital has been coming to benefit from the laudable scheme in the State.
He went on to describe the arrays of Medical Experts that were organized to attend to people as experienced professionals who are second to non in the State.
Speaking with some of the beneficiaries at the event, namely Omoniyi Praise, Omotoso Okeya, Aladesanmi Adelanke Dupe, they thanked God Almighty and appreciated Professor Modupe Adelabu and the Ado Progressive Union for their kind philanthropist gestures.
Several residents of Ado Ekiti who participated in the one day free mission, had the opportunity to get free eye glasses, medications and treatments of malaria, diabetes among many other ailments at the event.
