Ekiti Youths Celebrate Senator Bamidele At 61st Birthday

The youths of Ekiti State has celebrated Senator Opeyemi Michael Bamidele as he clocks 61 years old on Monday, describing him as a pride to Nigerians, and pointing out how his partnership with Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State attracting benefits to the State. 

In a congratulatory message signed and sent to the Treasure Newspaper on Monday by Honourable Bunmi Omotoso, the Chairman of the political group, under the nomenclature known as ‘MOB Youth Alliance’, has described the high ranking National Assembly member, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele representing the Ekiti Central Senatorial District as a pride to Ekiti citizens and Nigerians in all respects.

The group emphasized that by all standard of measurements, Senator Bamidele, has done creditably well as a family man, lawyer and political Icon, who rose meteorically from being a Senior Special Assistant in Lagos State to the zenith as a Senate Leader, on the strength of his impeccable character, topnotch honesty and unbruised integrity.

Bamidele, an Iyin Ekiti born international Lawyer and political juggernaut, was born on July 29,1963.

Hon Omotoso, in his congratulatory message, on behalf of the youth group, maintained that Senator Bamidele has distinguished himself as a world class pro-democracy activist, philanthropist and politician, who fondly places high premium value on lifting the people out of poverty . 

Specifically, the MOB political group, praised Senator Bamidele for his solid backing for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, saying the twosome’s partnership was yielding unquantifiable benefits to Ekiti in terms of appointments and attraction of federal projects to the state.

He said Senator Bamidele stands tall as an unshaken political allies, galvanising solidarity support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to salvage the nation from labyrinth, for wholesome recalibration and resetting on the path of greatness and shared prosperity.

“Your towering stature and acceptability has resonated up to the national pedestal earning you your current position as the Senate Leader. Rather than using the position to stoke the ember of political  discord and cleavages at home, you have forged a solid partnership with Governor Biodun Oyebanji to launch Ekiti to national reckoning. 

“We are proud of you as a leader and celebrate you as you clock 61 today. Our prayer supplications is for God to grant you sound health and more years for you to make more lofty contributions to your fatherland”, Omotoso said. 

Speaking further, the youths expressed pride over the enviable political accomplishments of Senator Bamidele in local and national politics, and his surfeit of contributions to philanthropy, intellectual expansion and empowerments for all categories of citizens.

They were elated that Senator Bamidele had etched his name in gold  as a history maker, being the first known Ekiti man to mount the priceless and plum seat of  Senate Leader, which was a well amplified  testimony to his distinguished character and recognition in national politics. 

The Youths stated that Senator Bamidele’s superb and exemplary lifestyle started manifesting early in life as a Students’ Union leader at The Obafemi Awolowo University, where  he sacrificed his personal comfort to advance the welfare of the students’ populace.

Replete with glowing passion for humanity, the group added that the young Bamidele joined the fray with like- minded and distinguished Human Rights  and Pro-democracy Advocates, to fight the Military Junta  for the return of the then elusive constitutional democracy to Nigeria in 1999.

Omotoso remarked that Senator Bamidele  exemplary sterling leadership qualities and knack for robust contributions for the growth of our nation was noticed early enough earning him top positions in far away Lagos, where he was appointed as Senior Special Assistant, Special Adviser and Commissioner by two different administrations. 

The Youth leader saluted Bamidele for pacesetting and carved a niche for himself as a development-driven politician upon foraying into Ekiti politics, where he solidly delivered the democracy dividends to the populace by attracting over 89 federal projects to his constituents within a spate of four years in the House of Representatives.
